Well another week and another good session! We seem to be developing a regular crowd at these meetings and better still those coming along are "having a go"!
This week we had a splendid tour of the new studio that Andrew Hall has been busily constructing so that he can continue to deliver his superb demonstrations and training whilst the crisis continues. Most of us know Andrew and he offered to come along and show us what he has been busy with and discuss his plans going forward and I think most at the session were impressed and are now waiting to click on the book now button when it appears on his website!
We had a bit of an update from the host (that's me!) on setting up of a video camera for the hollowing system in a vague attempt to stop making Tardis hollow forms. For those of you not familiar with Tardis Hollow forms they are the ones that are bigger on the inside than they are on the outside, think about that one!
We had a rather splendid item brought along by Martin Dickinson in the shape of a Jason Breach box, or rather multiple box, which looked far too complex for me to even attempt.
Pat Carroll was also present and offered a lot of hints and tips to all, it should be noted that Pat has a virtual session on Sunday 28th June 2020 at 7pm. The cost is only 10 Euro and the subject is Hollow Forms. So at about the price of a fish supper it looks like a bargain to me!
We had a show and tell from Kevin Purdy with what looked like a really splendid hollow form and another pierced piece which was still in progress but looks like it will be another stunner!
Lastly, but by no means least, we were given a view of some work in progress by Martin Stacey who has promised to come back and give us all a look at his first venture into piercing.
So get yourself along to the next session and bring something to share with everyone else...what have you got to lose?
